Dr. Alicia Irvin, Ph.D., TK Health’s Director of Psychological Services, is now a member of the National Commission on Correctional Health Care’s Fundraising Committee.

Dr. Irvin started her one-year committee role earlier this month. The committee’s goal is to expand the NCCHC Foundation’s fundraising capacity by identifying new funding opportunities and guiding events and campaign strategies.

The purpose of the NCCHC Foundation is to champion the correctional health care field and serve the public by supporting research, professional education, scholarships, and patient reentry into the community.

Dr. Irvin, an NCCHC member for three years, said it’s important to her to be engaged in activities that help further the future of correctional healthcare.

“It also shows our commitment at TK Health to improving healthcare in this setting,” she said.

TK Health CEO Flint Junod agreed.

“This is just one of many examples of how Dr. Irvin works to give back to the correctional healthcare community and better our team as a whole,” he said.

TK Health is an Oklahoma-based correctional healthcare company that serves jails in 13 states throughout the region. TK Health partners with about 150 jails and employs nearly 1,000 healthcare providers and support team members.

Dr. Irvin joined the TK Health team in 2016 after working for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2008 with a doctorate in Counseling Psychology. She is a licensed psychologist in Oklahoma, and her specialty areas include: corrections, forensics, juvenile offenders, severe mental illness, and geriatrics.
