TK Health Becomes Medical Provider in Blount County

TK Health is now the medical services provider at the Blount County Justice Center. The partnership began this month. 

TK Health is an Oklahoma-based corrections healthcare company that serves jails throughout the region. TK Health partners with about 150 jails, including those in multiple counties in Tennessee, to provide medical care. 

CEO Flint Junod said TK Health officials are pleased to work with the Blount County Sheriff’s Office to provide needed healthcare services at the justice center, including medical, counseling, psychiatry, and dental services.

“We’re happy to work with Sheriff James Berrong and his team,” Junod said. “We look forward to a long-term, professional partnership.” 

The Blount County Justice Center is located in Maryville, Tennessee. The center is under the direction of the Blount County Sheriff’s Office, which has a long history of serving the people of the county, dating back to before Tennessee officially became a state. The justice center, which was built in 1999, is certified for 350 inmates, according to its website.
