TK Health is now the healthcare services provider for the Adams County Jail. The partnership, which began earlier this month, continues the company’s expansion into Illinois.
TK Health, an Oklahoma-based correctional healthcare company, partners with 143 jails in 14 states to provide medical care. The company began expanding into Illinois just last year and will partner with at least five counties in the state by the end of this year.
CEO Flint Junod said TK Health officials are pleased to partner with Adams County to provide medical and mental health services, including psychiatry services, at the jail.
“We are happy to work with Sheriff Tony Grootens, Jail Administrator Brian Curran, and the entire Adams County corrections team to provide healthcare services at the jail,” Junod said. “We look forward to an ongoing partnership for years to come and are pleased to focus more of our attention on serving Illinois jails’ healthcare needs.”
The 192-bed Adams County Jail is located in Quincy, Illinois. It opened in 2022. It houses about 135 people a day and is operated by the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
