History
TK Health was founded in 2009 at the request of an Oklahoma sheriff seeking a healthcare provider for a new 550-bed detention center. The sheriff met with national correctional healthcare providers and determined none of them offered the level of personalized support or program commitment he wanted.
The sheriff contacted Sooner Medical Staffing, TK Health’s sister company under common ownership. Sooner Medical had established, and still maintains, a remarkable reputation for healthcare staffing in the region. The ownership team decided to step up to the sheriff’s challenge. They formed ESW Correctional Healthcare, which became Turn Key Health Clinics in 2014 and TK Health in 2024.
“TK Health exists to provide compassionate care to those who are at a really hard time in their life,” said Jon Echols, TK Health Co-Founder.
By 2015, the company had expanded throughout Oklahoma. The company entered Arkansas and Kansas in 2016, Texas in 2019, and has continued to expand throughout the Central and Southern United States from there.
Today, TK Health serves counties in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin.
